Explore Steel Pipes →TMT bars are the backbone of every concrete structure. JK Lakshmi Steel TMT bars are made through controlled quenching and self-tempering, which gives each bar a hard outer layer for strength and a softer inner core for flexibility. The result is steel that carries heavy loads, bends without cracking and bonds firmly with concrete.
| Grade | Minimum yield strength | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| Fe 500 | 500 N/mm² | Residential buildings |
| Fe 500D | 500 N/mm² | Projects needing added ductility |
| Fe 550 | 550 N/mm² | Commercial structures |
| Fe 550D | 550 N/mm² | Heavy structures |
| Fe 600 | 600 N/mm² | Infrastructure |
Grade availability, IS 1786 certification, 8–32 mm sizes, 12 m lengths and any CRS variant must be confirmed before publishing as product specifications.
Fe 500 and Fe 500D are commonly specified for homes. Always follow the structural engineer’s drawings.
D denotes greater ductility, allowing more elongation before breaking.
Residential homes · Apartments and high-rises · Commercial buildings · Bridges and flyovers · Industrial structures · Roads and infrastructure
Reinforcement is only as good as the way it is tied together. Binding wires hold TMT bars firmly in position during concreting, so the steel stays where the engineer designed it. They are soft enough to twist easily by hand and strong enough to hold under tension.
| Variant | Finish | Common application |
|---|---|---|
| Annealed binding wire | Black annealed | Reinforcement tying |
| GI binding wire | Zinc coated | Outdoor or damp conditions |
Confirm which wire variants, 16–20 SWG gauges and coil weights JK Lakshmi Steel will offer before publishing specifications.
18 and 20 gauge are commonly used for reinforcement tying; the appropriate gauge depends on the job.
The amount varies with bar size, spacing and detailing. Ask your contractor to estimate the project quantity.

Channels form the frames behind sheds, warehouses, factories and support structures. Structural channels are designed for dependable dimensions and load-bearing performance so fabricators can cut, weld and fit them with confidence.
| Profile | Depth | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| ISMC 75–125 | 75–125 mm | Light frames |
| ISMC 150–200 | 150–200 mm | Sheds and supports |
| ISMC 250–300 | 250–300 mm | Heavy framing |
Confirm actual ISMC sizes, IS 2062 grade, sectional weights and standard lengths before publishing specifications.
ISMC stands for Indian Standard Medium Channel, a channel profile used in construction and fabrication.
Please enquire with the team or your dealer about available lengths and cutting options.
Industrial sheds · Warehouses · Building frames · Roof trusses · Walkways · Machinery bases
From scaffolding and fencing to structural frames and railings, steel pipes do a lot of quiet work in construction. Uniform sections help fabricators cut, join and assemble with confidence.
| Type | Shape | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| MS ERW pipe | Round | Frames and fabrication |
| GI pipe | Round | Outdoor applications |
| Hollow section | Square / rectangular | Gates, railings and frames |
Confirm available types, standards, wall thicknesses, sizes and lengths before publishing specifications or water-line suitability.
GI pipe has a zinc coating that helps protect it from corrosion; plain MS pipe is typically used for structural fabrication.
They describe wall-thickness classes where applicable. Ask for the specification matching your application.
