TMT Bars

Enquire about this product →

TMT bars are the backbone of every concrete structure. JK Lakshmi Steel TMT bars are made through controlled quenching and self-tempering, which gives each bar a hard outer layer for strength and a softer inner core for flexibility. The result is steel that carries heavy loads, bends without cracking and bonds firmly with concrete.

JK Lakshmi Steel TMT Bars

Why choose it

  • High strength: Carries more load, so designs can use steel efficiently.
  • Bendability: Bends on site without cracks or surface peeling.
  • Strong bond with concrete: Ribbed surface grips concrete firmly.
  • Weldability: Low carbon content for safe welding on site.
  • Consistent quality: Same grade and dimensions in every bundle.

Reference grades and sizes

Grade Minimum yield strength Typical application
Fe 500 500 N/mm² Residential buildings
Fe 500D 500 N/mm² Projects needing added ductility
Fe 550 550 N/mm² Commercial structures
Fe 550D 550 N/mm² Heavy structures
Fe 600 600 N/mm² Infrastructure

Grade availability, IS 1786 certification, 8–32 mm sizes, 12 m lengths and any CRS variant must be confirmed before publishing as product specifications.

Common questions

Which TMT bar grade is best for house construction?

Fe 500 and Fe 500D are commonly specified for homes. Always follow the structural engineer’s drawings.

What does “D” mean in Fe 500D?

D denotes greater ductility, allowing more elongation before breaking.

Applications

Residential homes · Apartments and high-rises · Commercial buildings · Bridges and flyovers · Industrial structures · Roads and infrastructure

Reinforcement support

Binding Wires

Enquire about this product →

Reinforcement is only as good as the way it is tied together. Binding wires hold TMT bars firmly in position during concreting, so the steel stays where the engineer designed it. They are soft enough to twist easily by hand and strong enough to hold under tension.

JK Lakshmi Steel Binding Wires

Why choose it

  • Flexible handling: Easy twisting and tying.
  • Reliable hold: Keeps reinforcement in position.
  • Uniform gauge: Consistent thickness across the coil.
  • Neat packing: Easy to carry and handle on site.

Potential variants

Variant Finish Common application
Annealed binding wire Black annealed Reinforcement tying
GI binding wire Zinc coated Outdoor or damp conditions

Confirm which wire variants, 16–20 SWG gauges and coil weights JK Lakshmi Steel will offer before publishing specifications.

Common questions

Which gauge binding wire is used for construction?

18 and 20 gauge are commonly used for reinforcement tying; the appropriate gauge depends on the job.

How much binding wire is needed?

The amount varies with bar size, spacing and detailing. Ask your contractor to estimate the project quantity.

Applications

Tying reinforcement bars · Slab and beam work · Column cages · General construction

Structural steel

Structural Channels

Channels form the frames behind sheds, warehouses, factories and support structures. Structural channels are designed for dependable dimensions and load-bearing performance so fabricators can cut, weld and fit them with confidence.

JK Lakshmi Steel Structural Channels

Why choose it

  • Uniform profile: Consistent web and flange dimensions.
  • Load-bearing strength: Designed for structural applications.
  • Fabrication ready: Suitable for cutting and welding.
  • Versatile use: For construction and industrial work.

Potential size range

Profile Depth Typical use
ISMC 75–125 75–125 mm Light frames
ISMC 150–200 150–200 mm Sheds and supports
ISMC 250–300 250–300 mm Heavy framing

Confirm actual ISMC sizes, IS 2062 grade, sectional weights and standard lengths before publishing specifications.

Common questions

What is ISMC?

ISMC stands for Indian Standard Medium Channel, a channel profile used in construction and fabrication.

Can channels be cut to custom lengths?

Please enquire with the team or your dealer about available lengths and cutting options.

Applications

Industrial sheds · Warehouses · Building frames · Roof trusses · Walkways · Machinery bases

From scaffolding and fencing to structural frames and railings, steel pipes do a lot of quiet work in construction. Uniform sections help fabricators cut, join and assemble with confidence.

JK Lakshmi Steel Steel Pipes

Why choose it

  • Consistent sections: Suitable for dependable fabrication.
  • Multiple uses: For structural and general applications.
  • Fabrication friendly: Can be cut and joined for the project.
  • Choice of profile: Round and hollow sections, subject to availability.

Potential variants

Type Shape Typical application
MS ERW pipe Round Frames and fabrication
GI pipe Round Outdoor applications
Hollow section Square / rectangular Gates, railings and frames

Confirm available types, standards, wall thicknesses, sizes and lengths before publishing specifications or water-line suitability.

Common questions

What is the difference between MS and GI pipes?

GI pipe has a zinc coating that helps protect it from corrosion; plain MS pipe is typically used for structural fabrication.

What do Light, Medium and Heavy mean?

They describe wall-thickness classes where applicable. Ask for the specification matching your application.

Applications

Scaffolding · Structural frames · Fencing and gates · Railings · Sheds and trusses · General fabrication
